Goal Legends now has a referral program. Every manager gets a personal invite link from the new Refer a Friend page, and when someone signs up through it, the manager who invited them is credited 300 GL Coins, the game's currency for cosmetic and quality-of-life spends. It's the first way anyone can actually earn GL Coins, previously the only source was an admin manually granting them.
Active, not just registered
The reward isn't paid the moment someone signs up. It waits until the invited manager has genuinely been active a week later, not just created an account and vanished. That distinction mattered more than it first looked: the obvious way to check "is this account still active" is a helper that already exists for a completely different reason, warning a manager before their club gets reassigned for inactivity, but that helper treats a brand-new, never-logged-in-again account as active for its first 30 days, which is exactly right for its own job and exactly wrong for this one. Reusing it here would have paid out for a pure drive-by signup who never came back. The referral check is stricter on purpose: it requires proof the invited manager actually returned to the app on or after day seven, not just that a week happened to pass since they registered.
Riding an existing clock
Rather than invent a new schedule for this, the check piggybacks on the same once-a-day tick that already runs the inactivity system, so there's one daily job checking "has this manager gone quiet" and one checking "has this referred manager stuck around," not two separate timers to keep in sync.
