Major update: Match Center and more! (1)

We just shipped a big update. Here's everything that's new. CHOOSE HOW YOU WATCH EVERY MATCH Every "Watch" link across the site (Fixtures, Dashboard, League, Elite Champions Cup, Domestic Cup, Season Planner) now lets you pick how you watch a match: - The existing Visual Match Engine (still an early prototype, and now clearly labeled as one) - A brand new Text Match Center: a live, minute-by-minute replay with a real scoreboard, a match momentum chart, full lineups for both sides, shot/pass/card stats that build up as the match plays out, and a timeline you can scrub through freely Tick "remember my choice" the first time and every future Watch link goes straight to your preferred viewer. Changed your mind? There's a "Change Viewer" button on both pages to switch back any time. The Text Match Center also got its own mobile layout, so it's built to actually fit your phone screen. GOAL, YELLOW CARD, AND RED CARD CELEBRATIONS Score a goal in the new Text Match Center and play pauses for a proper celebration: a big photo of the scorer, their name, which goal of the season it was, and who set it up. Yellow and red cards get their own celebration too, with an actual card graphic front and center. Small touch, but it makes the big moments feel like big moments. MORE REALISTIC MATCH RESULTS We made a handful of small tweaks to how matches play out. Nothing about how players are built or rated has changed, everyone's attributes work exactly as before. Scorelines feel more realistic overall, and lower-rated teams in particular have a genuinely better shot at holding their own or springing a surprise result instead of getting steamrolled every time. NEW MANAGER TASKS: FOLLOW US FOR GL COINS Two new tasks on the New Manager Tasks checklist reward you with GL Coins for following our official Instagram and TikTok pages. We've also added a TikTok link to the site footer. BEHIND THE SCENES A rare bug that could leave a smaller nation short of eligible players for its national team has been fixed. Every nation is now guaranteed a full, eligible squad to pick from. ONE THING TO NOTE Pass completion percentages may look a little strange, showing 100% or nothing at all, on matches played before this update went live. That's just old match data and isn't something to worry about; it'll look correct again from your very next matchday onward. VIEW ANY LEAGUE'S FIXTURE LIST You could already check any competition's league table from the World Leagues page. Now there's a View Fixtures button right next to it that opens that league's full, matchday-by-matchday fixture list, the same view you get for your own league. CHALLENGE A BOT TEAM TO A FRIENDLY, INSTANTLY The Friendlies page now lets you challenge an unmanaged team from another competition to a zero-stakes friendly, a great way to test your tactics. It's auto-accepted, no waiting on another manager, and it kicks off within moments. Opponents from your own league aren't selectable, so it can't be used to scout an upcoming league opponent.
