Players best position (4)
Hello!
I encountered something interesing today. I received a new youth player. It is a RW/ST, but with a preference for RW. He is 62 overall, 77 potential. A nice player. In the line-up it is reflected as a RW. If I put him in my squad, he receives a 62. Sounds good. But when I put him in the ST position, he has a 67, much better than his preferable RW position. Will his preffered position change to ST in time?

This wasn't actually a bug, but you're right that it could have been clearer. A player's OVR was always shown for his main position. When you put him in one of his other natural positions, the lineup showed his rating for that position instead. Your youth player is listed as RW, but his attributes suit him better as a striker, so he's a 62 winger but a 67 striker. Both numbers were correct. It just wasn't obvious why they were different.
To make this clearer, with the last update a player's OVR will always show his best rating across all his natural positions. Your player will show 67 on the squad page, profile, transfer list and so on. His main position stays the same. Nothing changes in matches: he already played as a 67 when you lined him up at ST.
Around 15% of players across the game will see their OVR go up a bit, and their market value goes up with it. Nobody goes down.
Youth prospects will also show all their positions on the preview page, and the OVR you see there will be exactly what they get when they join the squad.
